Resolution on KPs mere eyewash: Panun Kashmir
STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Panun Kashmir on Friday termed passing of resolution on return of Kashmiri Pandits in J&K Assembly as a mere hoax and eyewash.
Addressing a meeting to take stock of situation arising out of passing of this resolution, President Panun Kashmir Vijay Bhat said that it nothing more than eyewash.
Convener Ravinder Jalali said that such resolutions are vague and lack direction, sincerity and seriousness on the part of Government. “J&K Government had early last year identified some places in number of districts of the Valley to set up separate clusters for displaced Kashmiri Pandits but faced stiff resistance from separatists and even from mainstream political parties. Although these transit camps were not acceptable to KPs as well”, he asserted adding Panun Kashmir demands Homeland for KPs to preserve and protect its ethnic culture as per Margdarshan resolution of 1991.
President Vijay Bhat took the government to task for deliberately delaying the process of resettlement of Kashmiri Pandits in Valley and favouring the separatists and those who are bent upon opposing KPs return to Valley. Vijay Bhat reiterated that no less than separate Homeland, as per Margdarshan resolution of 1991, is acceptable to KPs.
