Economic winter
Dear Editor,
The Indian population, particularly the poor and the middle class, is in for an economic winter. The ruling political leadership will have to face the music of its own creation. Every citizen, with national interest, had been cautioning the ruling party against the fallout of the ill-managed demonetisation. The public was swept off its feet on 8th November through a clever rhetoric speech on corruption, black money and terror funding. Instead, larger issues of public peace, freedom, pursuing of vocation of one’s choice and earning of livelihood, all have been questioned in a single stroke. It seems like an exercise in futility.
