RAJOURI : A middle aged villager was mauled by a leopard in village Pangai of Tehsil Thannamandi, district Rajouri.
According to report the villager identified as Mohd Sharief (48) son of Ali Mohd resident of village Pangai, Thannamandi was working in his fields when a leopard pounced upon him. He raised alarm and on hearing this the villagers reached the spot and the victim was released in badly mauled condition.
The injured villager was immediately shifted to Sub District Hospital Thannamandi, but due to his serious condition he was evacuated to District Hospital Rajouri.
The villagers demanded that the leopard which has become dangerous for human life be encaged and shifted to some other sanctuary.
