JAMMU: Police foiled the civil Secretariat match of voluntary retired employees of State Road Transport Corporation. A large nymber of VRS employees of SRTC on Wednesday gathered at Exhibition Ground and marched towards Civil Secretariat under the leadership of Dev Raj Bali President VRS Union. Police stopped then near Dogra Chowk.
They criticised the attitude of the government for not implementing the Sixth Pay Commission and COLA arrears since 1999.
“The Central Government has ordered for the 7th Pay Commission implementation in favour of their employees but we are still struggling for 6th Pay Commission implementation,” they said, adding that, government assured them that one who takes the VRS/GHS full benefits will be given but we have been duped, as we are struggling for the last 6 years.
