JAMMU: Principal Sessions Judge, Kathua Vinod Chatterji Koul on Monday rejected the bail application of one, Rafi Ahmed, son of Khalid Ahmed, resident of village Gopalpur, Bahadurganj in district Kishanganj, Bihar, for his involvement in medical narco smuggling.
The Court observed that while most people use drugs to help, some choose to abuse them. This leads to crime and it affects the society.
The Court further observed that illegal drug use has to stop as it hurts the society, it hurts us and mainly, hurts the user. Drug users feed of society’s money, insurance, and taxes. Drug use has increased over the years at an alarming rate and can be fatal to a person’s health.
With these observations, the Court rejected the bail application of the accused.
