JAMMU: After beating Dadar and Nagar Haveli, Jammu and Kashmir suffered a humiliating 0-12 defeat in the hands of Hockey Coorg in the ongoing Seventh Sub Junior National Hockey Championship 2017 (Women) ‘B’ Division at Ramanathampuram in Tamil Nadu. As per the reports reaching here, in this pool-A game, J and K never looked guarded against a strong side and faced the first goal in the very first move initiative by Hockey Coorg and going into half time with a 3 goal cushion. In the second half, Hockey Coorg ran riot and won comprehensively. BS Bhumika (21′, 40′, 48′, 58′, 64′) and Padmavathi S Madli (15′, 51′, 67′) scored hat-tricks in the encounter.
The Results: Hockey Puducherry beat Citizen Hockey XI 3-0; Hockey Bhopal defeated The Mumbai Hockey Association Ltd 2-1; Kerala Hockey blanked Telangana Hockey 4-0; Mumbai School Sports Association beat Goans Hockey 1-0; Hockey Him outplayed Hockey Himachal 6-1.
