JAMMU: Even as the State Government has ordered suspension of doctor in the alleged molestation of a medical student from Ladakh at Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu, Congress Mahila Wing of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday said this is not enough and sought termination of the doctor from job.
The activists of Mahila Congress led by State President Indu Pawar assembled at Dogra Chowk and held a strong protest demand punishment to the doctor of GMC Jammu who was involved in molesting the MBBS girl student.
Indu Pawar said, “it was very unfortunate that the students who are our future work so hard for qualifying such exams to serve the society are subjected to molestation by the faculty members of Medical Education Department.”
She demanded speeding up the probe and sought termination of the doctor.
They members threatened mask agitation if the government fails to take the case on fast track basics. Vandana Makhnotra, Santosh Sharma, Rita, Sita and Kanta Thakur were also present on the protest.
