JAMMU: All J and K Electric Department Linemen and Workers Union demanded regularisation of need based, daily wagers and causal labourers of the Jammu and Samba engaged in the year 1997.
Talking to reporters here on Thursday, Union President Suresh Chand Anthal projected the genuine demands for early redressal by the government.
He said nobody is ready to listen to the problems of the employees of the Electric Department despite linemen and workers of the department pressing hard for these genuine demands.
They demanded implementation of SRO-381 of 1981, amendment in existing rule 2008 Jammu and Kashmir Power Employees Welfare Fund, release of salary of need based employees on priority, ex- gratia in case of death, total disability and partial disability etc. Anil Salathia, Vijay Kumar, Ashiq Hissain, Surinder Kumar, Kartar Nath, Girdahari Lal, Jia lal and Manga Ram were also present in the press conference.
