350th Parkash Utsav of Guru Gobind Singh celebrated with fervour

POONCH: The 350th Prakash Utsav of 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji was celebrated with great religious fervour and gaiety in the border district of Poonch on Thursday. Member Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma, Addl Deputy Commissioner Poonch Gurvinderjit Singh, Deputy Commandant 93 Inf Brigade M. S Sabharwal and SSP J. S Johar also attended the function.
After completion of Sri Akhand Path in Gurdwara Singh Sabha Poonch, a Kirtan Durbar was held in which Raagi Jathas of Hazuri Raagi Durbar Sahib Amritsar, Harjinder Singh, local Raagi Jatha of Harcharan Singh, Sartaj Singh, Rasmeet Singh, Bhopinder Singh, Surjan Singh and Sarabjit Singh recited Gurbani Kirtan. Number of scholars also threw light on the life of Gobind Singh and his sacrifices.
Former District Sports Officer and Secretary Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Rajinder Singh welcomed the MP Jugal Kishore Sharma who specially came from Delhi to attend this function. In his address Rajinder Singh highlighted the demands of the people of this border district including an ICU with cardiologist in the District Hospital Poonch and also technician for available CT scan machine. Besides these he also highlighted the demand of Actual Line of Control (ALC) benefits, special recruitment for border youths and payment of relief/compensation to the PoK refugees in one go.
Jugal Kishore allowed an amount of Rs 5 lakh from his CD Fund for Gurdwara building and said that their demands will be give due consideration. Regarding technician for CT scan machine he will talk to Health Minister Bali Bhagat for his immediate posting.
In the end Guru Ka Langar was served to Sangat. Prominent among others present include DGPC President Prof Narinder Singh, District President Congress Rajinder Singh, BJP District President Pardeep Sharma.
POUNI: Prakash Utsav of Guru Gobind Singh Ji was also celebrated in Gurdwara Kailakh in Pouni Block on Thursday in which thousands of people from all walks of life participated and paid their obeisance to the great Guru. Former Secretary and Senior NC leader Saraf Singh Naag, Deputy Commissioner Reasi Ravinder Kumar, Tehsildar Pouni Munshi Ram and SHO J.J Bhagat were also present in the religious function.
Raagi Jatha of Bhai Sanjeet Singh recited Gurbani Kirtan and Parcharak Bhai Kulwant Singh of Jammu threw light on the life history and sacrifices of Sahib-e-Kamal.
DC Romesh Kumar in his address described Guru Gobind Singh as a great warrior who fought against tyrant rulers to provide justice to the mankind. The function was organised by President Kehar Singh, Gen Secy Harjeet Singh and Gyani Gurdial Singh. Guiru Ka Langar was served in the end.
MENDHAR : Gurpurab of Guru Gobind Singh Ji was celebrated in the border town of Mendhar. After completing Prabhatr Pheri in the morning a programme was organised in Gurdwara in which large number of Sangat from all the communities participated. Shabad Kirtan was recited by Raagi Jatha.
After a small lecture session the programme came to an end after serving Guru Ka Langar.
NOWSHERA: 350th Parkash Utsav of Guru Gobind Singh Ji was celebrated in Gurdwara Chhati Patshahi Nowshera under the supervision of President District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Rajouri Bhopinder Singh Tiger and the Local Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. A large number of Sangat belonging to all the communities participated in the function.
Raagi Jatha of Bhai Ravinder Singh from Patiala recited the Gurbani Kirtan while Parcharak Ravinder Singh from Poonch threw light on the life history, contributions and the achievements of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. After the Bhog ceremony, Guru Ka Langar was served to the people
