Govt employees vow to continue agitation

JAMMU: Employees of various government departments on Wednesday held a strong protest against the State Government for not addressing the pending issues of the employees and workers.
A large number of employees including daily wagers, casual labourers and need based workers today under the banner of J and K Government Employees, Casual Labours, Workers and Pensioners United Platform assembled at Exhibition Ground near Press Club here and raised slogans against the government.
Addressing the gathering, senior members Mohd Gafoor Dar, Kulwant Singh, Subash Chander, Akhil Sharma, Ghulam Rasool, Nazir Ahmed Molvi, Tanveer Hussain and others alleged that government has not bothered to address the pending issues of the employees and workers despite repeated representations and protests.
The major issues of the employees/ workers included framing of regularisation policy and implementation of Seventh Pay Commission report in the State.
They appealed to the Chief Minister to intervene personally for final resolution of the demand of regularisation policy otherwise their strike will be continued till presentation of the budget in the Legislative Assembly.
Nazir Ahmed Molvi, Balbadar Raj, Puneet Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar, Bhanu Partap Singh, Deepak Gupta, Subash Chander, Vikramjeet Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Sheesh Kumar, Karan Singh, Pardeep Singh,Vijay Choudhary, Surjeet Manyal, Raj Singh, Hussain Ahmed, Ankush, Yashpal, Basant Kumar, Ramesh Singh, Abdul Ahad Bandroo, Shahid Hussain, Ajiaz Ahmed, Subash Chander, Paramjeet Singh, Suresh Kumar, Ranjeet Singh, Asif Iqbal and Mohd Aslam Khan were also present.
