KUD: Police on Wednesday recovered 310 kg poppy straw from a truck at Kud in Udhampur District.
As per the reports, Police Post Kud led by SI Anil Sharma under the supervision of SHO Kud Sanjay Paba, SDPO Chenani Vinod Sharma and overall supervision of SSP Udhampur Dr Shalinder Mishra while conducting checking at Naka Point Kud intercepted one truck (JKO5B-1923) which was on way from Srinagar toward Jammu . On seeing police Naka, driver flee from the spot. Upon subjecting the said vehicle to thorough checking, approx. 310 Kg Poppy Straw (Bhukki) was recovered.
A case vide FIR No 01/2017 under section 8/15 NDPS Act was at Police Station Kud and truck seized.
