JAMMU: The Department of Science and Technology of Ministry of Science and Technology, GoI, sanctioned Rs. 54 lakh under FIST programme of DST to Department of Mathematics, Central University of Jammu to strength the post-graduate technology and research facilities in the department.
Dr. A Mukhopadhyay, Head R and D Infrastructure Division informed Head, Department of Mathematics, Central University of Jammu that proposal submitted by CUJ has been identified for the support in Level-I and Level-II category by the DST based on the recommendations of the FIST Advisory Board (FISTAB). It’s a matter of great pride for the Central University of Jammu that among all the institutions of the country it has been selected for this grant in mathematical sciences, he added.
Prof. Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor of Central University of Jammu hailed this decision of DST and hoped that similar kind of help from the GoI in the times to come will make CUJ as one of the prestigious institution in the country.
