Robbery in post office; Rs 8000 looted

BHADARWAH: In another incident of robbery in Kishtwar, unidentified burglars late last night looted eight thousand rupees from a Post Office branch of District Kishtwar.
According to police official, the burglars entered into the main post office situated at Malipath area (200 metres from Bus Stand) after breaking a corner of wall on the back side of building and took away Rs 8,000 kept in the safe of the office.
According to sources, officials of the post office came to know about the burglary when they opened the office on next day morning for routine work. After noticing the broken wall they informed the police. “The burglars managed to enter into the post office by drilling one foot hole in the wall,” said SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir. “We have registered a case FIR No 04/2017 Under Section 457,380 RPC at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation is going on. I hope accused will be arrested soon,” SSP Wazir added.
