Govt employees hold protest, project demands

JAMMU: On the call of J and K Government Employees, Casual Labourers, Workers and Pensioners United Platform, a large number of government employees on Tuesday held protest in front of Divisional Commissioners office to press the State Government for immediate settlement of the issues of regularization policy for 60,000 causal labourers of various departments and implementation of Seventh Pay Commission to the State Government employees and workers of the State.
Hundreds of casual labourers and workers from different departments under the leadership of various associations/unions raised slogans against the anti working class policies of State Coalition Government which has miserably failed to settle their genuine demands.
While addressing a massive protest rally in Panama Chowk senior trade union leaders Mohammed Gafoor Dar Convener of the United
Platform, Kulwant Singh, Com. Hari Singh, Tanveer Hussain, Akhil Sharma, Rajan Sharma, Rajinder Kumar, Nazir Ahmed Molvi, Balbadar Raj, Puneet Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar, Bhanu Partap Singh, Deepak Gupta, Subash Chander, Vikramjeet Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Sheesh Kumar, Karan Singh, Pardeep Singh,Vijay Choudhary, Surjeet Manyal, Raj Singh, Hussain Ahmed, Ankush, Yashpal, Basant Kumar, Ramesh Singh, Abdul Ahad Bandroo, Shahid Hussain, Ajiaz Ahmed, Subash Chander, Paramjeet Singh, Suresh Kumar, Ranjeet Singh, Asif Iqbal & Mohd Aslam Khan appealed to the Chief Minister to intervene personally for final resolution of the demands of regularisation policy for casual labourers.
