NEW DELHI: Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh said here on Tuesday that the nuclear collaboration with Canada has proved mutually beneficial for the two countries and is bound to grow further in the years to come.
Dr Jitendra was speaking to Canadian High Commissioner to India, Nadir Patel, who called on him to brief him about the current status of collaboration between India and Canada in nuclear science/power and other areas of bilateral interest.
Dr Singh said, there has been a consistent, comfortable and compatible relationship between the two nations of India and Canada, as a result of which, even today, a large number of youth migrating overseas from India, prefer to choose Canada as their destination.
He also recalled the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Canadian Prime Minister during the former’s visit to that country last year.
