Rival groups draws out pistols in court, arrested

R S PURA: Two groups of litigants clashed in the Court Complex and took out pistols on Monday when they reached the Munsif Court, R.S Pura to attend the hearing in a land dispute case.
According to report there was a land dispute case between one Ramanveer Singh, son of Mohan Singh, resident of Benagarh and Niranjan Singh, resident of Talab Tillo, Jammu. The groups after getting face to face, entered into duel when one Harjeet Singh, son of Niranjan Singh of Talab Tillo took out his pistol and aimed at Ashok Singh of Benagarh group.
Acting swiftly the police team headed by SHO Harish Rawat under the supervision of SDPO Harjeet Singh overpowered both the groups and arrested members with pistols. The people in the court got scared and questioned bringing of weapons in the court.
Meanwhile, the Bar Association President Advocate Som Nath expressed surprise over the incident and carriage of weapons inside the court complex.
