Hanjura for realising Mufti Sayeed’s vision of peaceful, prosperous JK

RAJOURI: Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura said that the vision of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed regarding peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir will be carried forward by the present government.
This was stated by the minister while addressing series of public meetings at Rajouri and Poonch on Monday.
The minister said that the government is committed for development of all the regions and the sub regions of the State including Pir Panchal area. He said the Assembly Elections of 2014 threw up a fractured mandate and no party got the majority to form the government. Hanjura said that since PDP had mandate of 28 seats which was highest in number in the State and late Mufti Mohammad Sayed had taken bold decision to form the government with BJP with the sole objective to develop Jammu and Kashmir as a model State of the country.
The minister said several measures are underway to upgrade the existing infrastructure of all core sectors including health, education and power. Referring to the first tenure of late Mufti Mohammad Sayed as Chief Minister of J and K, the minister said that the people always remember the said tenure because of development and peace measures initiated by him between 2002 and 2005. He reiterated that the government headed by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti will carry forward the mission of Mufti.
Responding to the demands put forth by the locals, the minister said that the Department of Agriculture has already been directed to ensure availability of Mobile Soil Testing Vans to facilitate farming community in Poonch and Rajouri Districts.
MLA, Poonch, Shah Mohammad Tantray, MLA Rajouri Qammer Hussain Choudhry, MLC Yash Paul Sharma also addressed the gathering and highlighted the policies and programmes initiated by the present government for holistic development of all the regions in the State.
Senior PDP leaders including Mohammad Iqbal Qazmi, Advocate Mohammad Maroof Khan, Shamim Ahmad Dar, Aijaz Mirza, Choudhry Gulzaar, Shah, Ashok Sharma, Tahir Lone, Master Premji and other leaders also addressed the gatherings.
