LMD books three traders, imposes Rs 4,000 penalty

RAMBAN: On the direction of District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz, a team of Legal Metrology Department (LMD) led by Assistant Controller conducted surprise checking of various business establishment at Banihal.
During checking an amount of Rs 4,000 was imposed in the shape of penalty besides booking three traders for violating the various provisions of the J and K Weight and Measure Enforcement Act 1997 and Packaged Commodity rules.
Meanwhile, warning was also issued to all the traders for adhering to all the norms and rules of the Act.
