DPO among 9 injured in mishaps

SAMBA: Eight passengers were injured when a truck bearing registration number PB6N-2740 hit a mini bus bearing registration number JK21A-8958 on Jammu- Pathankot National Highway near Sangwali Morh under the jurisdiction of Ghagwal Police Station in district Samba.
The injured were shifted to Government District Hospital Samba from where the one critical injured Guchhu (13) son of Dev Raj from Kishanpur Hira Nagar was referred to GMC Hospital Jammu and the rest of the injured, two were admitted in Government Hospital Ghawal and five inGovernment District Hospital Samba.
They were identified as Nita Devi (28) wife of Suresh Kumar ftom Ghawal and her 18 months old son Swastik, Nardev Singh (65) ftom Sanoora, Sunita Devi (43) wife of Tarsem Lal from Chhan Kana, Heem Raj (45) son of Pritam Chand from Kishanpur Hira Nagar, Neha (15) daughter of Lekh Raj and Sunil (16) son of Des Raj both from Sangwali. Ghagwal Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation and arrested the driver and seized the truck too.
Meanwhile District Panchayat Officer Poonch Zaffar Bandey was injured on Friday when the vehicle he was travelling met with an accident near Nowshera.
Zaffer Bandey who was on his way from Jammu to Poonch on his vehicle bearing registration No JK02BE-6465 was seriously injured when his vehicle rammed into a tree near village Dhalley in Tehsil Nowshera. He was immediately removed to local army ADS and after providing first aid was shifted to Sub District Hospital Nowshera. Since his condition was serious, he was evacuated to Government Medical College Hospital Jammu.
