R S PURA: Panthers Trade Union today staged a protest against the dilapidated condition of roads in R S Pura Sector causing inconvenience to the vehicular traffic and general commuters.
Led by State Vice-President PTU Sham Gorka, scores of party workers assembled at Kullian and blocked the R.S Pura -Jammu Road for an hour.
He said that Kullian-Laswara Road at R.S Pura which covers 15 villages and four Panchayats has been lying in a dilapidated condition for the last 20 years.
“This stretch of road connects R.S Pura to Bishnah but the vehicular traffic as well as general commuters are facing grave inconvenience while plying on the road due to big potholes posing life threat to the public at large,” he said
It requires black topping on 16 feet road and the sides of the road should be enforced with RBM.
Following the response from the people of R.S Pura, Superintendent Engineer, PWD persistently assured to complete the work within stipulated time but nothing has been realized so far.
Others participated in the protest include Sukhjinder Singh Ginny, Ch. Som Dutt, Jatinder Verma, Vijay Bhagat, Pritpal Singh, Onkar Singh, Babu Singh and Puran Chand.
