STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) condemned the anti-social activities in Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Rajouri wherein two groups of students, one from Kashmir and other from Rajouri and Poonch areas, started violence on the issue of attending classes during holidays.
Addressing media persons, State Joint Secretary Abhinav Pandotra said that University Administration is responsible for the violence as it denied the police from entering the campus to control the situation.
“Such types of incidents are happened in past also but university has not learnt any lessons. Administration keeps on protecting such anti-national elements that’s why students are repeatedly creating such problems in educational institutions”, he maintained.
ABVP demanded enquiry into the clashes and sought strict action against culprits.
He also demanded that media persons should be allowed in the campus to know the real facts behind the violence and demanded the police to intervene in the matter since it has the potential to escalate and can go upto the extent of JNU, HCU and NIT Srinagar issues.
State Office Secretary Avinash Sethi, State ST Students In-charge Manoj Thakur, Jammu Mahanagar Joint Secretaries Sunil Choudhary and Deepak Gupta were also present in the press conference.
