UDHAMPUR: District administration on Saturday removed temporary structure raised illegally by locals on state land near Railway Road in Udhampur.
According to sources, on the direction of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Tehsildar Udhampur Sapna Kotwal complying the order, demolished the temporary structure illegally raised by some locals on State Land. Sources added that encroachers did abortive bid to raise construction on State Land near Railway Station. However on the complain of local residents to district administration in this regard, Tehsildar along with team and in presence of police demolished illegal structures and evacuated land measuring 18 Kanal and 18 marals situated village Omala and warned such elements to desist from such activity otherwise legal action will be initiated against them.
Meanwhile Tehsildar Udhampur also issued direction to revenue field staff, Patwaris to visit their areas regularly and keep check on encroachment.
