Opposition parties have slammed the Modi Government for granting permission to the Pakistani Joint Investigation Team, to carry out a probe into the Pathankot terror attack case. However, India’s denial of permission to the JIT team would have given an opportunity to Pakistan, to tell the world that India is not cooperating even as Pakistan is sincere to investigate the Pathankot attack.
Moreover, the Union Home Ministry had made it clear that the JIT team would not get access to any defence personnel involved in the Pathankot operation. The leaked JIT report that the Pathankot Air Base attack was India’s own design to defame Pakistan and Pakistani High Commissioner Abdul Basit’s statement that the bilateral peace process talks between the two neighbours are suspended, have once again exposed Pakistan’s hypocrisy to combat terror and improve relations with India.
