SHAHPUR KANDI: Technomania 2016- a Tech-Fest which started on 13th April at Tawi Technical Campus, Shahpur Kandi, concluded today.
Deputy Speaker, Punjab, Dinesh Singh (Babbu), presided over the function as Chief Guest.
The function started with the welcome address by Col. Hari Singh, Administrative Officer of the Institution who gave a brief of the long journey of Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions in the field of technical education.
Vidhi S. Singh Jamwal briefed the Chief Guest about the intimate concern of Jamwal Group to extend their support to the needy and especially the weaker sections of the society.
Th. Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice-Chairman, Renu Bangroo, Managing Director and the staff of Tawi Technical Campus were also present.
In the function around 1,500 students from different Colleges viz Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET), Institute of Engineering and Computer Sciences (IECS), North Polytechnic (NP), Jammu and Sri Sai Institute of Technology, Badhani, Pathankot, participated in various events organised by the College.
The Deputy Speaker appreciated the college authorities for their excellent performance in the field of Technical Education.
The Chief Guest impressed upon the need of quality education, so that the young technocrats may get comfortably and suitably placed in corporate world.
On this occasion Ranjit Bawa, renowned Punjabi singer entertained the audience with his melodious voice.
The Chief Guest gave away prizes to the winners who participated in the various events organised in the Tech-fest.
