Ramnavmi celebrated with religious fervour

POONCH : While celebrating the religious festival of Ramnavmi with great fervour and enthusiasm a Shobha Yatra was taken out on Friday from Geeta Bhavan Poonch which passed through Main Bazaar and after reaching Khakha Naban Mandir culminated back at Geeta Bhavan. Earlier small Jhankis which started from Jhallas, Mangnarh, Radhey Sham Mandir Dungas, Suthra Bawli, Guru Niwas, Prachin Shiv Mandir Power House and Nai Basti reached Geeta Bhavan from where this Vishal Shobha Yatra was taken out.
Organized by Sanatan Dharam Sabha Poonch in collaboration with other religious organiations Shoba Yatra was led by Lord Rama’s traditionally decorated chariot from Shree Geeta Bhavan . A large number of devotees participated in it. Number of welcome arches were erected enroute where the rally was accorded devotional reception and eatables as well as fruit were served to the participants. The participants chanting Bhajan Kirtan reached Khakhamagam Temple where they performed prayers before and starting back.
The Yatra was led by President Sanatan Dharam Sabha Satish Sassan. Prominent among others present include, DDC Poonch, SSP Poonch, Dy SP Headquarters Bhai Lokesh Dutt, Dev Dutt, Sanjeev Sharma, Romesh Bali, Sanjeev Kumar. Vicky Sharma , Devinder Sharma, Ajay Bhalla, Pandit Bhagat Raj, Usha Puri and Sant Rajiv Lochan. Adequate security arrangements were made by deploying CRP, SOG and JK Police. Vishal Bhandara was also organised in the end.
UDHAMPUR: On the concluding day of Holy Navratras festivity of Ramnavmi was celebrated at Maha-Maya Temple with great religious gaiety. Source said that right from dawn to dusk devotees from all walks of life were seen in queue to offer obeisance at Temple. During Holy Navratras celebrations Maha Yagya was organised which was concluded today after traditional Puja and devotees participated in Puran Ahuti.
Meanwhile, members of NGO Jiyo Aur Jeene Do organised Kanya Pujan on the auspicious occasion of Ramnavami and ongoing Navratra festival at Tilak Nagar.
The members gathered and performed the rituals of Kanya Pujan in which little girls gathered in a large number. While speaking on the occasion the President of NGO Tariq Shah said, ” Today our NGO members have organised Kanya Pujan with a motive to be associated with our cultural and traditional values. We must realise the significant place attained by girls in our society. At the same time we must be determined to pay respect to them always.
The members of NGO Krishna, Sanjay, Shakuntla, Kamlesh, Kusum, Anu, Priya, Tarun, Sahil, Baldev, Jyoti and many others were present in the occasion.
NOWSHERA: Shobha Yatra of Ram Navmi was taken from Thakurdwara Khoohwala which passed through Main Bus Stand, Raghunath Mandir, Jhangar Chowk and finally culminated back in Thakurdwara.
During this rally the Jhankis of Ram Family, Muni Vishwamitter and others were taken out on vehicles where devotees paid their obeisance and obtained blessings.
During this Shobha Yatra Shastri Murari Ji and other prominent people of the Sub District including former MLC and Congress Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma were present.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of Ramnavmi, Vishal Bhandaras were organised at Lamberi Ashram and Mata Mangla Devi Temple.
The religious programme of Ramnavmi was organised under the aegis of Shri Shri 1008 Yogeshwar Mukand Chetanya Brahmchari Maharaj at Lamberi Ashram and also at Mata Mangla Devi Temple. The celebration included Havan Yagya in which thousands of people participated. Adequate security arrangements were also made to avoid any untoward incident.
RAJOURI: The religious festival of Ram Navmi was celebrated in various parts of district Rajouri with great religious fervour.
On this occasion a Vishal Shobha Yatra was taken out from Shri Mohan Sanatan Dharam Sabha which after passing through main market culminated in the Sabha. Large number of men, women, children and the aged persons participated in the Yatra and recited Bhajan Kirtan.
MENDHAR: The Ramnavmi was celebrated in Tehsil Mendhar – the extreme border of district Poonch with great enthusiasm. According to information the Ramayan Akhand Path was continuing for the last eight days which came to an end today.
After Havan Yagya and Bhajan Kirtan Vishal Bhandara was organised for the devotees.
The priest of Mandir Dhruv Divedi organised the programme to the best of religious fervour.
