JAMMU: Three MLAs belonging to the BJP’s youth brigade on Tuesday found themselves in a piquant situation during the public rally of Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley as they failed to find place of honour in the front row of special enclosure.
After arriving at the venue, the three MLAs could not find a chair to occupy and they decided to sit down on the red carpet rolled out in front of the makeshift dais.
Interestingly, none of the BJP workers and other visitors who attended the meeting bothered to vacate their chairs for the BJP MLAs Gagan Bhagat, Neelam Kumar Langeh and Rajiv Jasrotia.
While sitting on the ground the BJP MLAs kept smiling as lensmen clicked their pictures. It may be mentioned here the popularity graph of the BJP MLAs is going down even among their own party workers and supporters.
“If these MLAs commanded iota of respect in the hearts of people some of them must have come forward to vacate their chairs and offered the same to them but it did not happen much to the chagrin of infamous BJP MLAs”, observed a journo friend.
