JAMMU: Jetking Panthers lifted Jetking Premier League Tournament trophy defeating Jetking Tigers in the final played at Green Field School Ground, here on Sunday. Earlier, Jetking Tigers won the toss and decided to field first. Put into bat, Jetking Panthers scored 146 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 15 overs. Shariq Aziz was the top scorer with 31 runs with five sixes and one boundary, while Vikrant Sharma added 24 runs.
Chasing the target, Jetking Tigers managed to score 101 runs in allotted 15 overs, thus lost the match by 45 runs.
Vikrant Sharma for his brilliant performance of 24 runs and with two wickets was declared as Man of the Match. Shariq Aziz was declared Player of the Tournament.
In the prize distribution ceremony, Director of
the Jetking Center, Naveen Sharma along with all staff members was present.
While handing over the winner’s trophy to Jetking Panthers, Naveen highlighted the importance of sports along with the academics.
He appreciated the efforts of Sumeet Kumar and Jagdeep Singh under whose supervision all the matches were held.
