UDHAMPUR: Police on Monday seized 15kg poppy straw from possession of a Rajouri based truck in Udhampur at Jakheni Nakka. Police also claim to arrest one person involved in illegal trade also.
According to a report, on the direction of SSP Udhampur, SHO Udhampur O.P Chib on a specific information laid Nakka at Jakheni Chowk in Udhampur. During checking, a truck bearing NO. JK02AW-8335 was stopped and 15kg of poppy straw was recovered from the said vehicle. Driver of the vehicle identified as Mohd. Arbi son of Mohd Latif resident of Rajouri was arrested and case vide FIR No. 109/2016, 8/15 under NDPC Act was registered.
