JAMMU: SOS International, an organisation for PoK Displaced Persons (DPs) organised a massive rally here at Samriti Bhavan, Gurah Bakshi Nagar highlighted its demands and other issues. Thousands of life members of SOS International attended the rally and expressed their anguish over the delay in decree of relief package which was sent by the State Government to Central Government after continuous efforts of SOS International’s leadership for its early implementation.
While addressing the rally, SOS International Chairman, Rajiv Chuni said that organisation is taking out rallies on monthly basis and anticipated that this effort will bring revolution. “Sea of people is needed to show strength to Government. SOS International has an agenda to force Government to implement relief package as early as possible. There can be delay on part of the Government but we won’t let Government to deprive PoK Displaced Persons at any cost. We will fight for the cause and this mass movement of PoK DPs will definitely reach at its ultimate goal” Chuni stated.
He said that both BJP and Congress support our cause when not in power. “After assuming power they become hostile to the cause of PoK Displaced Persons. SOS International is not against any party but shall not take rest until the ultimate goal is achieved”, he maintained.
On the occasion, he garnered support for the PoK Displaced Persons to mount pressure on Government to mitigate the displaced community’s problems.
Prof. J.S Mangal, Lalit Kumar, Roshan Lal, Harbans Lal Sabharwal, Virinder Khajuria, Gurmeet Singh Isher, Sharda Devi, Prof. Narinder Sharma, Sanjeev Suri, O.P Khajuria, Tarvinder Singh, O.P Sudan, Sanjay Kohli and V.K Dutta also addressed the rally.
