BHADARWAH: SDPO Bhadarwah, Sajad Ahmed along with SHO Police Station Bhadarwah and In-Charge Police Post Bhalra visited village Khalu and held meeting with the respectable of the area with an aim to strengthen the relations between police and public. The meeting was attended by 35-40 people including members of all communities, political and social groups, Sarpanchs/Panchs and prominent citizens of the area. Participants applauded the role of police for conducting such types of meetings to ensure better relationship between police and public and also requested to convene PCPG meetings at other villages to redress the common grievances of general masses.
During the course of meeting, the participants put forth their demands which include construction of Khalu-Bhalra Link Road, replacement of old wooden electric poles with iron poles, continuous electricity/water supply in the area, upgradation of M S Khalu to High school and supply ration and other essential commodities to the people of the area.
Moreover, SDPO Gandoh, Bushan Kumar Gajoo also conducted a meeting with the youth of Bhalessa at Gandoh proper. The officers stressed upon the youth to avoid the use of drugs and help the Police in curbing the drug menace from the society and do not fall prey to cheaters regarding employment in TA, police and other departments.
Participants were assured by the officers that their genuine demands will be taken up with concerned departments for redressal and those pertaining to the Police Department will be considered at an earliest.
The officers urged upon the participants to co-operate and strengthen the hands of police, so that the social crime, smuggling of drugs, bovine, illicit liquor, forest produce etc be eradicated from the society. The participants were assured that District Police Doda is trying its best to curb the crime from the society and asked for more cooperation from public, so that a crime free atmosphere is buildup. Moreover, they were asked to maintain peace and communal harmony in the area.
