JAMMU: Sailing on all-round performance from Vicky Dogra, Shastri Cricket Club on Tuesday registered an easy seven wickets win over Rajouri Bulls in the ongoing Salute and Tribute to Saichen Martyrs Twenty20 Tournament, organised by Parade Sports Association at Parade Ground, here. Vicky took two crucial wickets to restrict opponent to a small total and then played brilliant innings of 47 unbeaten to help the side make it a fine win. He was later declared Man of the Match.
Earlier, Rajouri Bulls won the toss and batting first was bowled out for 105 runs in 19.2 overs. Faizal and Nahiem were top scorers with 19 and 20 runs in their respective accounts. Uttam (12) and Yaser (11) were other batsmen, who could touch the double figure mark.
For Shastri Club, Vicky Raina bagged three wickets and Vicky Dogra took two.
In reply, Shastri Club attained the goal in just 13.1 overs making 106 runs for the loss of three wickets. At one point of time, Shastri Club were struggling at 23 for three in first three overs of their innings with Amit Sharma and Honey losing wickets without opening their account while Chander Pandita bowled at four.
However, Avesh Sharma (36 off 35 balls, 5×4) and Vicky Dogra (47 off 34 balls, 8×4) played brilliant innings and remained unbeaten to guide their side to a big win.
