Police foils theft attempt, arrests 3 in Samba

SAMBA: Police on Tuesday foiled a theft attempt by arresting three thieves red-handed who were stealing wire.
As per the report, police team headed by SI Ashish Sagar, Incharge Police Post Mansar, under the supervision of Inspector Sanjeev Chib, SHO Police Station Samba and Varinder Singh, Dy. SP HQ Samba on receipt of reliable information nabbed three thieves red handed who were stealing high tension wire (132 KV without power) from the forest area of Jamoura Mansar.
The thieves have been identified as Mohd Jameel son of Mohd Hanief resident of Garnai Tikri, Udhampur, at present Chadawa Mansar, Mohd Maqbool son of Ali Asgar resident of Nagrota Panjgarain Tehsil Ramnagar Distt Udhampur and Mohd Sabir son of Daud resident of Ramgarh Baggar Tehsil and District Doda, At Present Chadawa Mansar.
A Truck (JKO2Q/9435) parked on the road side by the accused persons for transportation of stolen wire and 1,200 meters of aluminum wire having weight approximately100kg which was cut into pieces along with the cutters/blades used for cutting the wire, has also been recovered from the forest area and seized by the police party. A case under FIR No. 40/2016 section 379 RPC was registered at Police Station Samba.
