FIR 4/16 under Section 5(1) (d) read with sec 5(2) J&K Prevention of Corruption Act Svt. 2006 Section, Section 4-A J&K (Amended) PC Act 2014 and Section 120-B, 342, 347, 509 RPC has been registered with State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) against DySP Zubeer Mirza, the then SDPO Arnas, presently posted as DySP IRP 19th Bn and Sub Inspector Ranjeet Singh, the then SHO Arnas, presently posted in police lines, for wrongful confinement of Gopal Singh and his family members on frivolous charges and subsequently releasing them after demanding and accepting the bribe of Rs 50,000 and Rs 70,000 respectively by SDPO and SHO Arnas.

Gopal Singh along with daughter-in-law Reenu Devi and her father were produced before SDPO Arnas Zubeer Mirza by SHO Arnas Ranjeet Singh wherein one Dr Mushtaq known to Gopal Singh pleaded for their release.
