KISHTWAR: People on Monday staged protest in Kishtwar against administration, demanded immediate arrangement of chopper to airlift a youth namely Tanver Ahmed son of Abdul Gani Sheikh resident of Dadhpeth working as GRS in RDD Department who was admitted in District Hospital Kishtwar due to brain hemrage.
The family members of the youth also blocked the road for three hours and demanded chopper for shifting of ill youth to GMC Jammu for advance medical treatment.
They demanded that district administration Kishtwar should be made available the facilities of chopper as this district falls in accidental prone area.
DC Kishtwar Ghulam Nabi Balwan also visited the protesting people and informed higher authorities to send chopper for the youth. They shifted him by road after waiting several hours for chopper.
Randeep Bhandari also joined the protesters and requested administration that a chopper facility should be made available for Kishtwar all the times to tackle any emergency.
When contacted DC Kishtwar said that “we tried our level best to airlift but there were two more cases from inaccessible areas of district”.
