SKUAST-TAJ extends humanitarian aid to non-teaching employee

JAMMU: SKUAST- Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) has shown its human facet by extending a helping hand to one non teaching employee working in the Faculty of Agriculture who was going through his tough times.
TAJ-President Dr. Vikas Sharma said that the particular employee is undergoing surgical treatment regarding thrombosis of blood vessels / arteries in one of the reputed hospitals at Amritsar.
In this regard, the Teaching Association handed over a cheque amounting Rs 50,000 to Dr. D.P Abrol, Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, SKUAST Jammu.
Dr Vikas informed that teaching association has already in possession the enough amount to provide financial support to the teachers, non-teaching staff and students as and when they need it. He further informed that in the year 2015-16, SKUAST-TAJ extended financial aid of Rs 6,15,000 to non-teaching staff and students who were undergoing expensive life saving medical treatment in different known medical institutions of the country.
Dr Abrol lauded the efforts of association and hoped that the association will continue with this humanitarian endeavor and the teachers will generously support the cause that the association has taken in its hand.
Dr Vivak M Arya, General Secretary of the Association stated that the condition of employee is stable and he is out of danger and improving day by day.
Dr. Pradeep Kumar Rai-Joint Secretary, Dr. Devinder Sharma-Publicity Secretary and Dr. Vinod Gupta Executive Member from Rajouri were also present.
