AITA bags overall trophy in District Taekwondo

JAMMU: Atul International Taekwondo Academy (AITA) bagged the overall championship trophy by securing highest points in the two-day 19th Jammu District Taekwondo (Kyorugi/ Poomsae) Championship held at Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha Parade, here.
The overall second place went to another academy (VAOT) while JK Public School finished third in the overall medal tally. Joint Secretary, J and K State Sports Council, Shiv Kumar Sharma was Chief Guest in the concluding function, who gave away the title trophies to the teams.
Member State Sports Council, Nazir Ahmed Bhat was Guest of Honour while General Secretary, J and K Taekwondo Association, D.N Pangotra was Special Guest. Also present were Satpal Sharma, Subash Shastri, Ramesh Sharma, Hussain Khan, Harvinder Singh Sodhi, Vikas Abrol, Shah Inam, Shaliender Sharma, Sanjeet Sharma, Ashwani Sharma, Ulfat Bilal and Mohd Salim Wazir.
The technical team, which conducted the bouts during the two-day competition included Atul Pangotra, (International Referee), Sanjay Kumar, Rajat Thakur, Mukta Gupta,
Brinder Singh Manhas, Arvind Kumar Satti, Mohd Ali, Rohit Sharma, Tashi Tundup,
Rajan Jamwal , Narinder Sharma, Nitish Anand, Vipan Sharma, Sourav Sharma, Sunil Singh, Pooja Sharma, Mukesh , Amit Sharma and Gopal Sharma.
