KATRA: Police on Tuesday arrested a man for transporting liquor and recovered 170 pouches of liquor from his possession.
As per the details, during the intervening night of 26th -27th December 2016 while checking at Police Check Post Balini, a Sentro Car (JK02AE 5971) was stopped for checking and during checking/frisking, police recovered 170 pouches of J&K excise liquor from the possession of driver of the said vehicle namely Hem Raj son of late Sobha Ram resident of Baggakot Tehsil and District Reasi.
The accused driver was arrested, vehicle was seized and a case vide FIR No. 224/2016 under section 48-A Excise Act, 188/RPC was registered at Police Station Katra.
