BHADARWAH: Higher reaches of entire Chenab Valley and surrounding villages of Bhadarwah town experienced fresh snowfall and heavy rains lashed plains dipping mercury to minus and throwing normal life out of gear in this high altitude area of the State.
Rains from last night lashed whole Chenab Valley while suroundings of Bhadarwah, Kishtwar and Gandoh witnessed fresh snowfall of the season in wee hours.
The surroundings of Bhadarwah which include Ashapati, Seoj Dhar, Kailash Kund, Shankhoja, Dugga, Kansar, Subar Dhar, Thubba, Dhamunda, Chattar Gali, Dheraja , Mothala, Thannala, Sherakhi, Chinta and Jai Gathi witnessed fresh snowfall in wee hours.
The higher reaches of Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban, Banihal and Gandoh including Padder, Marwah, Sinthan top,Mughal Maidan,Dessa, Gurmal, Saraz, Gandri, Kabbi, Neel Top, Mahu, Mangat, Kharri , Gool and others received moderate snowfall.
However plains of whole Chenab Valley were lashed by rains since last night.
People mostly remained inside their houses due to chilly weather and wore woolen clothes, jackets and also lit fire places Bhukharies to protect themselves and their toddlers in the severe cold climate.
Meanwhile MeT Deptt has predicted improvement in the climate in next 24 hours.
