POONCH: Police on Sunday arrested two female accused who were evading their arrest for the past one month.
A police spokesman said that special teams constituted by SSP Poonch J.S Johar under the supervision of DySP headquarters Mohan Sharma led by In-Charge Police Post Banchechyan ASI Shafeeq on specific inputs conducted raids at different places and arrested them. The accused were involved in a case registered with Police Station Poonch under FIR number 191/2016 under section 376, 109 and 342 RPC and were evading their arrest since then. Both are accused in abetting the heinous offence of rape. Both the ladies have been taken to Women Cell Poonch for further investigation. It is pertinent to mention that the main accused in above FIR Altaf Hussain son of Alam Hussain has already been arrested by Poonch Police.
