Youth Congress seeks inquiry against PM

JAMMU: Youth Congress is going to launch an agitation across the State to highlight corruption charges based on Income Tax Department’s report against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat.
Citing the report of Income Tax Department that Modi has taken Rs. 65 crore from Sahara group and Aditya Birla Group, Advocate Pankaj Basotra, State General Secretary and Lok Sabha President Jammu Poonch Thakur Hoshiar Singh Chib while leading a protest of Youth Congress activists, said that youth of the nation will not tolerate such kind of high end corruption and will vociferously oppose the same.
The protesters later burned the effigy of Prime Minister.
The Congress leaders said that in public meetings Prime Minister always bats for corruption free society but the bank accounts of Sahara and Aditya Birla Groups as per Income Tax Department tell a different story with his neck-deep involvement in corrupt practices during his tenure as Chief Minister.
Youth Congress activists, while demanding an inquiry from an independent agency, sought his resignation.
They said that in coming days Youth Congress will launch state wide agitation against Narendra Modi on the basis of allegations made by Rahul Gandhi as per the Income Tax Department’s records.
They said that few days ago it was published in the newspapers that some ministers were involved in making their black money into white and also the wife of one minister has been traced by some agency while purchasing the gold worth crores of rupees but the state BJP leadership despite knowing the facts is watching like mute spectator. This will not be tolerated by the youths of Jammu and Kashmir, they asserted.
Ricky Dalotra, Anoop Gupta LYC General Secretaries, Shabbir Kohli, Divyansh Singh, Jagjot Singh, Advocate Manjeet Singh, Lucky Singh LYC Secretaries, AYC Presidents Kushwant Singh, Ravi Kant, Vijay Tagotra, Brinder Pratap Singh, Neeraj, Mohd Rafi Malik, Vikrant Khajuria, Prateek Singh, Rahul Dev Sharma and Hussain Malik were also present.
