One arrested for carrying 38 pouches of liquor

BHADARWAH: Police on Friday arrested one bootlegger and recovered 38 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession
According to reports, police team from Bhadarwah Police Station led by SHO Bhadarwah Jatinder Sambyal under the supervision of SSP Doda Zahid Naseem Manhas, ASP Bhadarwah Sargun Shukla and SDPO Bhadarwah Sardar Sajad Ahmed Khan while on their routine patrolling and traffic checking duty at Chinar Mohallah on Bhadarwah University Campus Road signaled one scooty bearing number JK06-7804 for checking.
On search of the vehicle, Police Party recovered 38 pounches of illicit liquor (250 ml whiskey) from the possession of its rider.
The accused has been identified as Ravinder Singh Son of Dev Raj Kattal Resident of Garh Sungli, Bhadarwah. Police has registered a case under Section 48-A Excise Act at Police Station Bhadarwah and investigation is going on.
