Vickey XI Pathankot, Sandhu Club Ludhiana win in Police Martyrs T20

KATHUA: Vickey XI Pathankot and Sandhu Cricket Club Ludhiana registered victories in the ongoing Seventh Police Martyrs Memorial North Zone Inter Club T-20 Cricket Championship, organised jointly by the J and K Police and Shaheed Welfare Committee Kathua at Sports Stadium, here on Wednesday.
In the first match of the day, Vickey XI Pathankot outplayed Jammu XI Club by three wickets.
Batting first, Jammu XI Club scored 94 runs for the loss of ten wickets in 18.4 over. Aditya Partap Singh was the top scorer with 29 runs off 290 balls.
For Vickey XI Pathankot, Kishani was the successful bowler who picked four wickets while Sukha claimed three wickets.
In reply, Vickey XI Pathankot chased the target by losing seven wickets in 16.2 overs. Rohan played a knock of 25 runs with the help of four boundaries. Kishani was declared Man of the Match and awarded a cash prize of Rs. 2,100 and a trophy.
In another match, Sandhu Cricket Club Ludhiana outplayed Sandhu Junior XI Kathua by six wickets.
Junior XI Kathua, batting first, set a target of 120 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Anuj and Sandeep played innings of 42 and 29 runs respectively. Rubaljit Singh and Palla of Sandhu Club picked four wickets each.
In reply, Sandhu Club Ludhiana chased the target in 15.2 overs losing four wickets. Ankit played a knock of 46 runs while Palla scored 43.
Pushkar grabbed two wickets while Abhi took one for Junior XI Kathua.
Palla, who scored 43 runs and took two wickets, was declared Man of the Match and awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 2,100 and a trophy by by Shaheed Welfare Committee Kathua
