JAMMU: Vijay Club is to meet Param Football Club (FC) in the final of the ongoing Fifth Christmas Soccer Championship being organised by Christian Sports Organisation in collaboration with J and K Football Association at Parade Ground, here tomorrow at 1:30 PM.
Earlier, in the second semifinal played on Tuesday, Vijay Club defeated Young Rovers FC by five goals to four via tie breakers.
For Vijay Club, Vishal, Kannav, Sahil, Parveen and Mohit Verma scored the goals through plenty-shoots whereas for Young Rovers FC Basit, Rahul, Rakul and Chandan netted the ball.
In today’s match, Dr. Sunil Gupta, SSP Jammu was the Chief Guest whereas Ramesh Kotwal, SP Headquarter and Vikrant Sharma, Chief Prosecuting Officer (CPO) DPO Jammu were the Guests of Honour.
They were introduced with the participating teams in presence of Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer, Asif Gill, Yousaf Don, Mohan Lal, Inspector Ranjeet Singh, Coach Satpat Singh, R.P Singh and Sunny Gill.
SSP Jammu congratulated Vijay Club for winning the semifinal match and also appreciated the participating teams for giving tough competition to each other.
Today’s match was officiated by Vijay Kumar, Ricky Kumar, Dheeraj and Suresh Gupta.
