JAMMU: Excise Department on Saturday seized more than 600 kilograms of Lahan while conducting raids in Kathua district.
Under the supervision of the Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu, Mohammed Shahid Saleem, the Excise Team Kathua led by Arun Kumar Inspector Excise under the command of Excise and Taxation Officer, Excise Range Kathua, Sandeep Gupta raided the Chartyala, Dhabwal and Jakhbhardamba areas of Kathua District to arrest the menace of illicit distillation of liquor. In the process more than 600 kilograms of Lahan was recovered from State land. Later, the excise team destroyed the recovered Lahan.
