JAMMU: In a contempt petition, a Division Bench (DB) of State High Court comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur directed Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Jammu to secure presence of Director School Education, Jammu in Court on 17th December 2016.
After hearing Advocate Dheeraj Choudhary appearing for the petitioner whereas AAG Raghu Mehta appearing for the State, the DB observed that on 25th November 2016 at the request of counsel appearing for the respondents two weeks’ time was granted to report compliance.
“It was specifically mentioned in the aforesaid order that if compliance order is not produced, Director School Education, Jammu shall appear in person”, the court observed.
Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that inspite of his communication, the Director School Education, Jammu is not responding.
