JAMMU: In a petition filed by J&K High Court for quashing Central Information Commission’s order dated 21st October, 2016 holding that Right to information Act, 2005 (Central Act) is applicable to the High Court of J&K and that the respondent has jurisdiction to exercise powers under Right to Information Act, 2005 in respect of High Court of J&K, a Division Bench of J&K High Court comprising Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur after hearing Advocate Deewakar Sharma appearing for the petitioner issued notice to respondents and directed that subject to objections from other side, the operation and effect of the impugned order shall remain stayed till next date of hearing.
