JAMMU: Excise Department on Wednesday recovered Rs. 7,040 as fine from toll evaders during a naka laid at National Highway, Batote. Under the supervision of the Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Mohammed Shahid Saleem, the excise team led by Towsif Wani Inspector Excise under the command of Excise and Taxation Officer, Doda-Ramban Excise Range laid a Naka on National Highway Batote to check the toll evasion. Almost hundred vehicles were put to check and an amount of Rs. 7,040 was recovered as fine from toll evaders.
