JAMMU: All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) and Kashmiri Pandit leaders on Tuesday staged a massive protest against former Chief Minister and Union Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah, Patron National Conference (NC) for his anti-national utterances during past couple of days demanding sedition case against him.
The activists of APMCC and prominent KP organisations lead by Vinod Pandit, Chairman APMCC and King C Bharati National Spokesperson APMCC, Advocate Arun Kandroo, Gen Secy APMCC, Advocate Ravinder Raina President ASKPC, Dr T.K Bhat, Gen Secy ASKPC, Kuldeep Raina, President Kheer Bhawani Asthapan Manzgam, Som Nath Saraf, Vice President Kapal Mochan Trust, Shopian, Vinod Kumar, Virender Pandita and Ravinder Kaul shouted slogans against NC and Dr Farooq Abdullah terming him a traitor and seeking immediate FIR against him and slapping of a sedition case.
The protestors said that it has become a habit of NC leaders particularly Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah of singing nationalistic songs while in power and siding with Pakistan and separatists when in opposition saying such tactics have brought J&K to present situation which demands these NC leaders must be taught a lesson of life time.
They said the present unrest in Valley was due to the anti-national attitude of National Conference and reminded that it was NC and its MLC who created trouble during APMCC Kounsar Nag Yatra making a religious Yatra into a communal issue in Kashmir.
The protestors castigated the NC leader for his anti-India stance on PoK and now his open support to separatists asking him to cross over the border and go to Pakistan if he was not satisfied with Indian hospitality that his family has been enjoying for decades sacrificing the national interest.
The protestors also castigated the government for not taking immediate steps to arrest such anti-India people and instead giving them a long rope to beat India at their will.
Questioning the silence of other parties over the issue the protestors said that it was clear now that all other parties who have not opposed to Farooq’s utterance were actually helping him in his anti-national activities which is a grave threat to nation and people must take note of it.
They warned the government that people will take to streets and confront these leaders directly if the government fails in its duty to curb their anti-national activities forthwith adding these leaders should be behind bars for insulting the Indian nation while enjoying its perks.
They said that these people forget that it was India that had given them money, fame and power but despite that they continue to support Pakistan and their agents in Kashmir Valley and wondered how nationalistic elements within their party were keeping silent even on the matters of nationalism.
