SRINAGAR: The executive and armed police, the two vital arms of the J&K Police must continue to work in perfect coordination to deal with different and emergent situations
of law and order and
militancy. This was stated by Special DGP Coordination, Law and Order, Dr. S.P Vaid in a joint meeting of Valley based commandants and District SsP at Police Control Room Kashmir on Tuesday.
The meeting besides these officers was attended by IGP Kashmir Zone, S.J.M Gillani, IGP Armed/IRP Sunil Kumar, DIG, Central Kashmir S.P Pani, DIG, North Kashmir, Uttam Chand and SSP PCR, Suhail Munawar Mir.
While addressing officers, the Special DG complimented the officers for dealing with the situation thus far and implored upon them to make the deployment of the Jawans as per the need of the situation. He asked the officers to remain ever ready for any emergent situation and added that joint training programmes and courses should be conducted for all the Jawans and officers being deployed for different types of duties.
The Spl DG impressed upon the officers that people behind the mischievous acts of arson, hooliganism, posters and stone pelting incidents should be identified and booked as soon as possible.
With regard to the requirements put forth by the officers, Vaid said that all the needs and requirements of the policemen and the officers are always considered and will be given priority in future as well.
Earlier, IGP Kashmir S.J.M Gillani and IGP Armed/IRP, Sunil Kumar briefed the Special DG regarding the deployments of officers and jawans for law and order, guards and other essential security duties.
IGP Kashmir, S.J.M Gillani stressed upon the augmentation of armed guards and for strengthening the law and order companies for handling different situations effectively.
In his briefing, IGP Armed/IRP, Sunil Kumar gave details of officers and Jawans of the Armed/IRP battalions deployed for different duties across Kashmir. He sought better equipment, safety gadgets and vehicles for the Jawans and officers.
