POONCH: Timely and swift action of police averted a major fire tragedy in Nallh Mohalla in the jurisdiction of Police Station Loren .
As per the details, the forest fire which spread in forest areas of Loren suddenly engulfed the whole areas including three villages of Nallah, Moori and Sankh. As the news came to SSP Poonch J.S Johar, he immediately dispatched a police contingent led by SHO Loren M.D Khan under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Poonch Mohan Sharma to the spot which coordinated the rescue operation which was largely carried out by locals along with FPF personnel and succeeded in saving two houses in village Nallah and also evacuating civilians mostly women .
Although one house was completely gutted but swift action of police and locals has averted the fire to spread in villages Sankh and Moori .
SSP Poonch has also called for assistance from other agencies including army to control the fire from spreading and more manpower is being shifted from Poonch to Loren.
